Work to Ride

Work to Ride is an amazing program based in Philadelphia at the Chamounix Equestrian Center.  Work to Ride was founded in 1994 by Lezlie Hiner. The non-profit helps kids in Philadelphia through the soul-rewarding bond between horse and rider. They are the first African American polo team in the US and in 2005 won the Eastern Interscholastic Polo tournament.
I've been riding horses my entire life and there is nothing that can compare to riding a horse. They are such special creatures. I love this program and it's so incredibly inspiring that people like Lezlie work so hard to help children's lives in their own community.
I love this photo so much.
